all these new bike builds got me stoked to get out there & take a couple pics.
weighed it today at 30.8# with wire bead maxxis tires. so i'm hoping that with this swap to schwable ust 2.4s it'll come in low 30s or maybe even touch the 29s. |

Very nice cranks Strahan. I have the bar and have been saving for the cranks, they are pricey but oh so nice.
I have to reweigh my bike because last time I weighed it mine came in at around 30.8, which I think might be wrong, and it looks like most of my parts are the same or lighter than whats on your rig except for the mentioned cranks. I run lighter tubeless ready tires about 750G each with no tubes, air fork and rp23 shock. I bet it rides nice with that ti spring.
My 2.5 year old frame sure doesn't come clean like that any more! |

these tubeless tires come in at 980g, but i need to re-weigh it.
the beauty of the sixc cranks is that they're crazy light, but at the same time super stiff. |

Looks pimpin... swap out the coil for an air shock and save another 1/2 lb... oh, but then you need an adjustable seatpost too which will negate the weight loss. |

| Those cranks are so light which is why I am lusting after them so badly. The retail is crazy on them though, I read somewhere they retail around $600 |

Looks fantastic, 30 lbs. and coil sprung......impressive build. Is that a Fox Float or a Vanilla? Either way, well done. _________________ Karma.........what glory aspires to be, but can’t, because it doesn’t understand the true nature of the selfless act....... |

The cranks can sting the wallet, but maybe this adds to the mystique? Made in Vancouver from proprietary technology though, and the highest performance.
It's a talas. I would have preferred either a float or vanilla, but that wasn't an option. |

also weighed today with new rubber at 31.5#.
switching back to a non-tubeless casing could shred about 1.25#, but the tubeless version mounts oh so nice & should feel great romping rough stuff. |

Never, that's how it will remain a legend. lol
Seriously though, that is one sick looking Rune. I love the ride quality of the Coil rear shock, and have thought often that is something I am missing.
Who knows, maybe that is an upgrade in ride (downgrade in weight) that I will consider?
I need to weight mine, curious as to its bulk or lack thereof nowadays. _________________

I really need to reweigh my rune, I figure mine will be approx 1.5-2 # lighter than yours putting it around or just under 30#.
when I first got my sixc bar I looked at it and thought it was made of some cheap pvc plastic, it was so different looking for carbon fiber lol. I used to run a 685mm bar but I have to say I absolutely love the 725mm width. the girls always say wider is better and I have to say I agree. |

i've been seeking a ust, 1000g-ish, reasonable compound, good all around tread tire for a while. reviews have been good and i've seen them ridden in person, so hopefully it plays out. or if you want to get in there mmc also got a set of non-usts. |
