Victoria BC Based Gemini Lights

Gemini Lights

I recently spoke with Chris Lai of the Victoria BC based bicycle lighting company Gemini Lights to get the 411 on his line of low cost high powered bicycle lights. Chris is a no nonsense sort of guy, a guy who wanted to ride his bike at night. You and I would go buy some lights right? Chris took it a little further than that, ok a lot further than that! Read on about Gemini Lights in Chris’ own words.

Chris Lai – Gemini Lights.

“In 2010 I set out to explore the realm of night riding. I found myself wishing I were out more riding, during the winter days. The only thing that kept me from doing so was a decent night riding light. I looked at lighting solutions out there and read countless reviews to try and make an informed decision on my next bike related purchase. I found the products presented to me were a lot more than I could afford. Being a student at UVic, where tuition takes up a large portion of my savings, I really couldn’t justify the spending. And so I had the idea of starting Gemini Lights. Using contacts that I already had in Asia and knowledge of how factories operate I built a plan to manufacture quality lights for riders at an affordable rate. I made some calls and got some help from my family and Gemini Lights was born.”
